Brigitte Bardon't songs and performances draw from noise, drone, and pop, and often use field recordings as foundations.
Through music, performance, and media, I mirror the ways complex and contradictory stories and emotional states crystalize through sound. By appropriating melodies, cadences, and clichés from sources like radio waves, Disney musicals, public spaces, personal diaries, talk shows, garbage, or the avant-garde, I abandon the pursuit of a singular narrative, and work with the fragments of cultural gazes and tropes to make a momentary, fleeting whole.
Whether improvising or structuring songs, my presence is the only constant assembling force.
