I was one half of experimental / pop-concrete / noise duo based first in Winnipeg, then in Toronto. Our music combined pop structures with improvisational ideas. Instruments I played included voice, guitar, keyboard, harmonica, and live radio. Alpha Couple released cassettes and CDRs on several international labels including Phantasma Disques and Already Dead Tapes & Records, opened for oOoOO, Advance Base, Grimes, and White Ring, and toured 28 countries including the United States, Germany, Russia, Turkey, and Italy. Our final release was a live album from a performance in Bergamo, Italy released by Invisible Show.
